Description of the Chateau
The Chateau was originally built around two to three hundred years ago. Sadly, its early history is not known, but locals have colourful stories of more recent owners and their lives there. During the twentieth century, it was converted into a small hotel. The current owners bought the chateau in the late 1980's with the intention of restoring it back to a luxurious and comfortable home. Over a number of years, they have carried out major restoration projects, including replacing the roof turrets, restoring the original facade and completely renovating the interiors. Every effort was made to ensure the beauty of the chateau's position can be enjoyed from all the main rooms. All major bedrooms and the studio have magnificent views across the lake, as do all the main living areas. (see House book and floor plan for further information.
The Chateau is accessible via a long private driveway and the grounds have lawns, mature trees and shrubs, surrounded by woodland.
Outside- There is a studio in the grounds equipped with a sofa bed, twin beds, en-suite shower room and the sauna. There is an out door 4 to 6 person Jacuzzi, heated swimming pool and terrace, housing outdoor kitchen / dining facilities. A wc can be accessed from outside. Plenty of chairs, loungers and some children's play things for use outside are also provided.
